Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza on Colonial offers a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere and a menu full of crowd-pleasing Italian classics. The meal begins on a high note with warm, airy rolls, almost pillow-soft, lightly dressed and surprisingly addictive. A fresh salad follows, but the focus, of course, is the chicken parmesan. The cutlet is well-executed: nicely seasoned, properly cooked, with a satisfying crunch and a generous layer of melted cheese. Where it falls short is the marinara, which leans mild and lacks the richness and depth that great parms demand. This remains a solid restaurant with plenty to enjoy, especially the pizza, but as parm goes, there are stronger contenders in Orlando.
